| I'm a bit angry right now. The Colts lost AND my computer is freaking out on me. I'm just hoping there's no bad virus on here, or something. | |

| The probably is a mild one. If there were a bad your computer would've crashed completely and you would have to buy another. Just do a virus scan. | |

| No, believe me, on my old computer i got this virus, with all my anti-virus stuff up, That made it shut down and then when you booted it up it would boot up for 5 seconds and then turn off. Also recently I got a virus from ICS, the main reason for my departure from it, that took out my anti-virus first, then uninstalled Firefox and my installation software as well as my shortcuts on one account and I used a Windows Defender scan on a different account to get rid of it and then stayed on the other account because i lost Firefox on that one. It probably would have done more damage if I hadn't of turned off my internet and then shut it down. | |

| Well, this is going in the ICS-Valhalla War Topic. BTW, did you know I coined the acronym for ICS? Ironic, right? | |

| I posted that somewhere else also. ICS has it on the site EVERYWHERE, so it doesn't matter | |

| What does this virus do, anyways? I made a post about it warning people, but apparently, you all already knew. I've been attacked by viruses two or three times while on there recently, but Kaspersky took care of 'em. | |

| What the virus does; 1st It opens a pop-up window talking about how your internet anti-virus blocked something 2nd if you do ANYTHING besides turning off your computer in one of the ways you normally wouldn't (like unpluging it or holding the power button) it then gets downloaded on your computer w/o requiring permission or anything similar. 3rd While being downloaded it destroys all protection you have 4th It does a fake scan to cover for destroying your computer (it pretends to be an anti-virus software) 5th It takes over your installation software. You can't use it and it can. 6th At this point it appears to be stopped by switching accounts. If you run a full scan you can delete it. 7th It does nothing for a while, making you think it was defeated. You might go back to your old account, see your shortcuts, security, firefox, and installation stuff were deleted 8th A few days later it begins to reinstall itself on ALL accounts. 9th if you do a scan you can delete it, but then if you do another scan it is there again. 10th by this point it is in the "kernel" of your computer. No matter how often you delete it it comes back. IT HAS BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO GET RID OF. 11th I don't know, as I didn't let it restart my computer even though it prompted me to many times. I am sure that after I shut it down that if I had've restarted it all accounts would be broken. | |

| 7+8+9 made me think this gave me the virus. All of a sudden, nearly a week later, when I was on Valhalla, my computer found a Virus which wouldn't stay deleted, so I assumed it was this site | |

| You should have had Kaspersky. No one else on Valhalla has gotten the virus (ramen and me). | |

| Well, it was from ICS, so you wouldn't get it, and r2d2y and I were the 2 most common to be on so we got it, but r2d2y prevented infection by following the above instructions, so that is where they are from | |

| Wouldn't help. The first thing the virus does is write over anti-virus software. If you tried to open it then you would open the same fake anti-virus screen as it shows when it is downloaded
Even if you go to the other account and run a scan, you will find it and delete it, but you won't completely delete it. It can't be completely deleted unless you destroy your computer in the process | |
