| This is the place to complain about school, ask questions about homework, and express your thoughts about teachers. | |

| Um, I'm NOT looking forward to second semester, aside from one class: Latin II, although I know a few people from each of my second semester classes, including half of them or more in Honors World History I. I hate My first semester classes right now and my second semester classes are my less preferred classes, besides Latin, the ultimate language. | |

You don't have to be an a-hole just cuz he's telling us why he hasn't been in contact for a while. If he wants to give a status update (e.g. "Its nice"), then he's come to the right place. Unless general discussion means something different than the last time I was on here.

| From the SCPS Schoolfusion site:
All options for making up days missed because of inclement weather remain under consideration. Depending upon the final assessment of the current weather threat, employees, students and parents should be aware that the Monday, February 15, holiday may be added as an instructional day as originally published in the approved calendar. Stafford County Public Schools is seeking clarification from the State concerning any flexibility regarding make-up requirements for extenuating inclement weather circumstances. Information regarding make-up days will be shared with the media and posted on www.staffordschools.net as soon as any more detail becomes available.

| I am aware of BB's down-edness.
I still haven't finished.
I still have all the history notes to do.
I have decided to only read one of the history sections without writing notes. I don't even know if she'll give us a quiz tomorrow.

| This is a brutal make-up policy: Make-up Days Process
Information regarding the make-up day process due to inclement weather school closings and delays will be presented to the School Board on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at their regular meeting at 7 p.m. The following options will be presented at that time and would begin March 1, 2010:
- Utilize all remaining scheduled make-up days and,
- Eliminate all early releases, teacher work days and,
- Add 10 minutes, 15 minutes or 20 minutes to the school day
Add | 10 Minutes | 15 Minutes | 20 Minutes | Elementary | -8.16 hours | -1.58 hours | +7.67 hours | Middle | -0.16 hours | +6.42 hours | +13 hours | High | -2.63 hours | +3.95 hours | +10.53 hours | The 20-minute option provides us with sufficient opportunities to make-up the minimal required instructional time. These options are based on time missed as of 2/16/2010.
Click here to see the 2009-2010 calendar with days missed and make up days indicated.Currently, Spring Break will be held as scheduled with no modifications. If you have any information or comments to share regarding the make-up day process, please email Rick Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Human Resources, at fitzgeraldrl@staffordschools.net.

| Basically, they are going to: -Decide on make-up days -Turn ALL early-release days into full days -AND do one of the following: ---Add ten minutes to each school day ------Elementary schools will be 8 hours short of the state required school time ------Middle schools will be fine ------High schools will be 2.5 hours short of the state required school time ---Add fifteen minutes to each school day ------Elementary schools will be 1.5 hours short of the state required school time ------Middle Schools will have exceeded the state required school time by 6.5 hours ------High schools will have exceeded the state required school time by 4 hours ---Add twenty minutes to each school day ------Elementary schools will have exceeded the state required school time by 7.5 hours ------Middle schools will have exceeded the state required school time by 13 hours ------High schools will have exceeded the state required school time by 10.5 hours
Hope that's a bit easier
